You gave me my first real job and was inspiration for my entire family. I still remember you I still think about you and I hope you had everything done that you were trying to do with your life. I will always love you.

Lucy The Legend was a model agent and great person in the State Farm Agency Family. My condolences to you Mary and your family.

So very sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. We worked in Fire Claims together for several years at the Charlottesville Operations Center before Lucy went into Agency. Never a dull moment when Lucy was around! Always laughter, love, and joy! I will always remember Lucy riding around the Regional Office on one of our Salvage bikes in her witch attire for our Halloween celebration! She even rode up to the Executive Office and delivered treats to Mr. Zimmerman, Mr. Kelly, and Mr. Nelms! I know her precious Dad and beautiful Mom “Birdlegs” greeted Lucy with open arms!
My prayer is that God will hold each of you in the palm of his hand. May your many precious memories comfort you in the days ahead. We will not say goodbye as we will see her again on the other side!

I had the privilege of working with Lucy at State Farm. As a new agent, she was so inspirational and helpful to me! We went on to become friends and shared many experiences as State Farm Leadership in Virginia. Lucy had a wonderful personality, was so much fun, and one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. She will be sorely missed in this world but lives on in all the lives she has touched throughout her time on earth. My deepest sympathy to Mark and the family during this difficult time

We are so very sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. She was a very vibrant presence in the Slate Belt for many years. May you find comfort in the knowledge that she touched many lives.
