I will miss seeing Lu at the Mendota Garden Club. I always enjoyed her garden 'stories' and marveled at her energy and ability to work harder and longer and faster than most all of us! Truly a sad loss to all of us.

I have fond memories of Lu bringing her cats into the Cat Clinic when I worked there. I loved hearing her stories about her car, garden, and kids, as well as her cats. She was a gem! Wishing you strength and peace as you mourn the loss of an all around great gal.

We will miss seeing Lu at the Wooly Bear program(Dodge Nature Center). We enjoyed all that she brought to the program, and the children.

I have nothing but fond memories of Lue. She was the nice lady with the beautiful garden that lived across the alley when I was growing up. I left Minnesota when I was 19 to join the Air Force, but come back at least yearly and was always (including my visits within the last year) amazed and impressed with her stamina and enthusiasm. What a great lady!

Growing up with the Kruchowski kids, Lou was like a second Mother to me. She always taught by example, with kindness in her voice, and acceptance in her heart. Her soft-spoken wisdom and gentle guidance taught me so much, even in recent years with the loss of my own Mother. I will miss her....

Although I didn't know Lu personally, my parents knew her very well from PTA at Washington Elementary. Every year as I pull out the Washington School Cookbook to use "Lu Kruchowski's" sugar cookie recipe I will remember the amazing women that she is.

My condolences to the family of Lucy. I know of Lucy's hands on hard work and joy of gardening from her daughter Jeanne. Reading Lucy's obituary shows a lady who enjoyed life and who enjoyed giving back. What a wonderful role model for us all.

I have known Lu for many years through membership in the Dakota County Genealogical Society. Lu was always a cheerful, willing and hard working volunteer, and just this year helped us complete our portion of a statewide project to inventory all of the cemetery sextons and record locations in Dakota County. Reading about her life, I am amazed at how many organizations Lu was involved in, and how many lives she touched. She was a treasure and will be sadly missed

Lu was an active member of the Mendota Heights Garden Club and volunteered with the roles of Librarian, Telephone caller, and garden maintenance at the Mendota Heights City Hall. She was a great gardener who never hesitated in getting her hands dirty and will be missed. We saluted her last night at our Holiday Party and shared our memories.

She has been a part of our pre-school parent program here at Dodge since we started over 14 years ago. I don't know how I'll face Saturday mornings witout her.
