Luigi Friio

FRIIO _ Luigi October 22, 1920 - December 30, 2008 It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our father Luigi at the age of 88 years. Luigi was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy and later immigrated to Canada in 1956, with his beloved wife Teresa and sons following a year later. He worked as a carpenter for many years and enjoyed gardening and maintaining his properties. He is survived by his loving family, Lorne and Maria Oliverio (Mario, (Kaitlan, Sarah), Teresa, Paola (Vito)), John and Barbara Friio (Terri, Lori (Ian), baby Cohen, Chad), Rosemary Friio (Luigi, Nicolas, Michael), Dominic and Charlene Friio (Erin, Adam), Rino Friio (Adrian, Andrew), Mario and Cathy Friio (Jenna, Jared), sister Maria Belcastro of Italy, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Giovanni, wife Teresa, son Sam and second wife Luigina. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (400 Edmonton Trail N.E.) on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (400 Edmonton Trail N.E.) on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with The Very Rev.
