Dear Carmen, I was so sorry to hear about your father, Luigi's death. I feel like I knew him from all your stories. I wish I could be there with you, but am in CA for the birth of my first grandchild. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the with the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WW II fighting the Japanese and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. Mr. Mariano would have been very proud to know he has a wonderful obituary in the Patriot Ledger. Although I did not know this very interesting, ambitious and inventive man, I did recall knowing some of his relatives, from when I was much younger. Yes, such a wonderful life story to attest to a man who probably knew everyone in Quincy and had such a wonderful family that he was so proud of. Such a great man's passing, I couldn't withold my thoughts: God Please remember to take the hand of Mr. Luigi Mariano as you cross the Great Divide.
