Luis Alcantara Obituary
LAWRENCE — Luis Alexander Alcantara, 28, of Lawrence was a son, a brother, and a dear friend. He died on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.
Alex was born at Dr. Aquino's Medical Clinic in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where his mother Yroelia Cutoen worked. He was raised and educated in Los Mameyes, Santo Domingo. Alex was known to most as "Flava." He was a giving, strong, loving, kind and humble individual.
Alex is survived by his mother, Yroelia Cutoen and her late husband, Romulo Alcantara; one brother, Michael Cutoen; one niece, Yanitza Cuteon; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his god parents, Osvaldo Del Rosario and Amparo Lora and many close and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be offered Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Lawrence. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence St., Lawrence.
