Vavo,
Thank you for leaving behind such a profound legacy. You've paved the way for our family to have the most fulfilling lives I know you dreamed of for us. All that we've achieved is because of you. I'll miss you so much and your laugh especially. Love your Princesa and family (Brett, Liam and Harriet).

Today we lay to rest Luis Rego Borges. Words will never be enough to express the gratitude I feel towards this man for not only welcoming me into his family with open arms but for also raising a son who will soon be my husband. He has instilled resilience, love, respect and kindness into his family because that's who he was and I am grateful I was able to experience that even if it was only for a short while.
May you rest peacefully knowing all that you gave and all that you were is still very much alive in the ones you left behind.

He was loved very much and will be missed even more. We will always remember his wonderful smile, warm heart, laughter and his love for his family. We love you very much and will always cherish those special memories.
Ps. Where’s my picture (haha) I wanted to ask you someday but when we meet we’re going to take a picture together.

Vovô was a very important person in my life. He has done so much for me since the day I was born, and I have learned so much from him and his wisdom. He was a loving, kind, and strong man. My Vovô is the reason why our family is so close and strong with eachother. He had came from São Miguel (Portugal), to Brazil, to Canada to make sure his family and the generations after live an amazing life, and I thank him for that. My Vovô taught me a lot about family values, and how important it is to spend as much time as you can with your family. He taught me that family comes first, and by creating a strong family, you become a strong person, and you are able to carry that tradition. I thank you Vovô for everything you have done for me, everything you have taught me, and all the love and support you have given me my whole life. I know you will be watching over me, helping me succeed in life. I'm proud to be a Borges. Rest in peace vovô and I love you
