Luis was my addiction counselor and coach. He taught me how to listen to myself and respect my emotions. He was a true hero on and off the field. I´m honored to be his friend and I will never forget him.

Twice I attempted to write this memory and somehow it kept getting erased. I met Luis some few years ago at My recovery Homegroup named
"Recovery Starts Here". Gradually we developed Mutual Respect through
Identification about our Struggles. I watched Luis develop his sincerity to carry Our Message beyond our own Society. In One of our conversations
He mentioned that His Life's Mission had become bring our message to those in His Professional Community who he believed was suffering silence. He Gradually became another one my Heroes. I'm Grateful to have shared apart my Life and My Recovery with Luis Sharpe.

I had the pleasure of working with Luis at MDS Communications. He would always greet me a hug and was always positive. Helpful in any way he could to anybody. Loved to hear about the "good ole football days." He was a joy to hang out with on break walking around the building with and always had a smile. He was one of the good guys and is loved and missed. Rest in peace my friend. My prayers go out to your family.

I was stunned to hear of your passing. We fought the same fight together back in the 90's. I am glad that you finished the race sober and happy. To have survived addiction as you did is very rare. I am so proud of the work you did with concussion protocols and assisting professional young athletes on how to battle addiction. you taught them to honor that they were powerless and needed divine intervention. You helped so many!

I knew Luis from his Phoenix days. He worked out at the L.A. Fitness where I worked. We became friends and would work out together. We had since connected on fb. I will miss him. He was always very generous with his time and kind words.

Luis was one of a kind. He had a profound impact on so many people, including my father (pictured), who he played on the Cardinals Offensive line with. We love you Big L, and will surely miss you.
