Luisa Melchionne Obituary
Luisa Lionetti Melchionne, 94, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 03, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. Born on February 10, 1920, in San Mango Sul Calore, Italy, to the late Alessandro and Antonetta Coppola Lionetti.
Luisa was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carmela Ciacciarella, sons Alex Melchionne and Theresa Agostino,and Richard Melchionne and his wife Maria; six grandchildren, Michael Ciacciarella and his wife Anne, JoAnn DiSpirito and her husband Davide, John Ciacciarella, Jr. and his wife Kristi, Luisa Borea and her husband John, Diane Melchionne and Danny Melchionne; ten great grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony and Gina DiSpirito, Michael, Vincent, Anna, and Sofia Ciacciarella, Christopher and Laina Ciacciarella, Marco Borea and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Amato Melchionne in 1989 and two brothers Amato "Ted" Lionetti and Amerino Lionetti.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace RC Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
