Luise's book on Paakantji grammar is the essential guide for my work with my Wiimpatja relations and friends on poems, songs, stories, translations and developing teaching materials. Luise's work is a wonderful gift to future generations.

Luise was a fine teacher who brought laughter to the study of Prakrit - no mean feat! A true intellectual, her curiosity was boundless, as was her generosity. Whether in Mooroolbark or in Gundaroo, she loved the flora and fauna of this ancient land, and especially loved its first peoples and their cultures. Her meticulous recording and studies of their unique languages is her legacy to her adopted land.

Like many others, I was privileged to have known and worked with Luise, a dynamo who was always incredibly generous in sharing her work. Her work on songs was groundbreaking. RIP Luise.
