LUKE WERNER

Luke I still recall our walks together in the hallways of Clark on our way to Coach Gutowski's gym class. You always put a smile on my face. You always had such a zeal for life, sports and for Clark. Rest in Paradise my friends. God Bless.

Drove past Luke's school the other day. Smiled at the thought of him! Wonder what he would have thought of all this 'staying in' stuff. To not be able to go on his daily doings...miss you my dear

I can't believe this is the first I've heard of his passing. It makes me sad to think I didn't get to see him one last time, but it makes me smile to remember him in the hallways of the school. He was always there, and he always had a greeting for everyone. I graduated in '93, but I still know that the school will never be the same without him.

We will missing you Luke, your such a great man! Rest in Peace...

There will never be another Charger like him. I know so many who were inspired by Luke each day in our Class of '76. I will always be sad it ended, but always smile because it happened. Rest in Peace, Luke...Go Chargers!

Luke truly was a pure spirit. I remember that infectious Smile of his. A Clark Charger to the core. I also was pleasantly surprised to hear that my daughter, a 2008 Clark graduate also knew Luke. Rest in Peace, my friend!

Luke Werner...Clark High School's Ultimate Charger! RIP, Luke.

I was fortunate to run into Luke this spring and share with him how much he was a part of the Clark HS spirit. He was, as always, positive and interactive. He was a great team manager and had the respect of all the student athletes, coaches and Clark fans. It was a privilege to know him and witness his success and happiness.

Rest in peace Luke....you will never be forgotten by the many Clark High School students. You were and always will be a shining star who gave everyone who crossed your path a happy smile and a friendly hello!

If you think about this time of rules and regulations, where the letter of the law supercedes the spirit of the law, it is surprising Luke was able to do what he did and be who he was at Clark High School. Had you met and known Luke and how he touched so many lives, it was not surprising at all and was a tribute to him. I have always been proud to call Luke my friend and a fellow graduate of the Class of '76.

Luke truly knew what "Something Extra for Clark" meant. He lived it. May his memory be eternal!

Luke you will always be "Mr. Charger". Your smiled lite up the hallways of Clark. You had some much favor with the students. How could anyone forget the spirit that you had for "our" school. Rset In Heaven!

Luke was our neighbor on Cinderella Lane during high school. We could always count on him to say hello and give us a smile. It seems like he was just always a part of the neighborhood when we were growing up. He was one of the most popular guys at Clark High School and was loved by so many. He will never be forgotten. I feel proud to have known him and to have been his friend.

Luke, you will forever be Mr. Charger. Clark just won't be the same with out you. Thank you for the so many years you gave to our school. You will be greatly missed. Class of '85.

My husband, Rick Medina, and I, were both at Clark with Luke. Rick was a baseball player, class of '75, and thru the years has fondly spoke of Luke. I remember his wonderful smile and the sparkle in his eyes, class of '79. We will always remember you Luke. Rest our friend, for you have earned it after watching over the halls of CHS!

Luke you were always a friend. Kind at heart and never a bad thing to say about any one. You let me laugh with you at some of the crazy things that went on at school. You are in a better place. No more pain. You will truly be missed my friend. RIP

Luke, you were an example of how simple acts of kindness and sincere joy can change people's lives everyday. None of us have touched as many people as you have in your lifetime and your 35+ years at Clark. Rest easy now, and forever "Break it down, Luke!"

The legacy Luke left to 40 years of CHS students is something to which we should all aspire.

I taught at Clark for 22 years, and Luke became a great friend of me. I will miss him. He was a great person.

Each day at Clark is not the same without you Luke. You are loved and missed by so many. I miss our daily chats. I feel so blessed to have known you and spent time with you before you went to teach the angels the Charger fight song. There is no one like you. Luke, you will always be the Heart of Clark. Because of you, all of us are better people. Our students were so fortunate to know you and share a part of your life.
You will never be forgotten. I have no doubt that Heaven is decorated in black and gold.

Luke u will b missed here @ Clark. I remember u back when I went to Clark back in the early 80's & when I became a P/O I was glad to c u @ all the games that I worked at Clark. Then when I was assigned @ Clark I was so fortunate to get to see u alot. thnx for being such a inspiration to alot of ppl.

I first met Luke in 1975/76 when participating @ Clark High sports activities. Luke was helping out in the gym.
My sister graduated the same year as Luke and I can still picture Luke receiving his diploma that day.

I am a graduate of Clark High in '87. and I remember him fondly!!!!

I graduated from Clark in 1993 and Luke was a staple! Everyone loved him and his Charger spirit. I'm honored to have known such a joyous man! Thank you for letting us borrow him.
