Lupe Ashford

ASHFORD--Lupe Ashford, 27, is in the radiant presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, who has taken her by the hand and led her home. Marcelino Ashford, her Dad, was there to greet her. Lupe is survived by her son, Elijah Perea; daughter, Julienne Ashford-Leonard; her Mama Julienne Ashford and fiance, Scott C. Burdick; brother, Levi Ashford; sister, Arlene Greathouse; nephews Joshua Ashford and Trevon Greathouse; Grandparents, Joe and Mercy Perea; and Grandmother Dionisia Burtin. Lupe was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Lupe’s homecoming will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at French-Lomas Chapel with Pastor Claudia Moore officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, leaving French Lomas Chapel at 9:00 A.M. and proceeding to a family cemetery at 2011 Hwy 126 in Cuba, NM. Pallbearers will be Anton Sena, Joseph Sena, Farah Chavez, Libby Perea-Roseman, Nathan Perea, and David Maestas. Honorary pallbearer will be Levi Ashford. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund at Wells Fargo Bank for the benefit of Lupe’s young son, Elijah Perea. The family wishes to thank Adam and Pinkie Montoya for their generous donation of Lupe’s final resting place, as well as their family and friends, for their prayers, comfort and love during this most difficult time.
