Luther Allen Davenport, Sr.

I just found out about Luther's passing and am incredibly sad. I met Luther while researching my family tree. He was instrumental in finding a long lost ancestor for me and ordered and placed a military headstone for that ancestor. He also arranged a dedication ceremony for a Revolutionary war ancestor that we both share. It was a moving experience and will I forever be grateful to have been a part of it. He was truly a kind person. My prayers and deepest sympathies go out to his family.

He was a super guy. He always took the time to say a few words when we crossed paths in high school and later at Toyota. He will be missed!

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Met and worked with him at Toyota,he got hired a few months after I did,he always said hi daily,he’s the kinda guy that’s easy to like and will truly be missed by many,GOD BLESSED YOU

May Luther rest in peace. My deep sorrow for your loss. I am a distant Davenport connection from the Eastwood, KY Davenports and have visited the cemetery and grave of my father's great grandfather Davenport in Shelby County. I wish I could have met Luther.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about Luther's passing! I grew up with Heather and Allen, and my heart goes out to them, and to the rest of Luther's family!

Deepest sympathy to Luther’s family. He was a wonderful man who shared his talents with many. I was pleased to talk genealogy with him and see him at historical event. He was a blessing to many.
