Lydia P. Sheridan, 66 of Corder, Missouri died on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. Born Tuesday, April 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William Cunningham and the late Clara Bledsoe Cunningham. Lydia and her husband Dennis L. Sheridan were married twice for a total of thirty years. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday school and a member of the Corder VFW Post #4288 Women's Auxiliary. She received her LPN at Warrensburg Vo-Tech and worked at various hospitals and nursing homes over the years, retiring in 2010. Lydia liked to crochet, knit, paint and do crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be remembered for being a big hearted, caring, strong beautiful soul. Surviving are one son, Kellen (Kelly) Sheridan of Colorado; three daughters, Susan Sheridan of Warrensburg, MO, Donna (Danny) Hodson of Grain Valley, MO and Tawnee Sheridan of Fort Morgan, CO; one sister, Billie (Joe) Poncy of Knob Noster, MO; five grandchildren, Darrius Sheridan, Ejyah Sheridan, Trey Hodson, Logan Hodson and Riley Hodson; one great granddaughter, Delaney Sheridan A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 29th, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Fine officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hoeferfuneralhome.com

She always holds a special place in my heart. I think of her everyday. When i feel like i’m not doing something right or i’m having a bad day, i think of her. I know she’s looking down telling me to keep going, to keep pushing. I miss her more and more as the years go on but i’m so thankful and glad she’s in a better place. I wish she didn’t pass so soon. In all love and memories everyone misses and loves you so much la la.

All I would like to say about her is that my family misses her and any time we see butterfly's we start to think of her and I never did get the chance to tell her how much I love her because she is my Aunt. I hope she had a wonderful life down here on earth. And I thank god for letting me have a Aunt with a blessed heart like hers.

Lydia was a friend from my childhood, we grew up together in Corder and attend school there. We remained friends as adults. She mean the world to me. She was my little buddy. We would work together to get some of our old girl friends together each year for a lunch out at some eatery. I will miss her so much. God bless her family with comfort and strength.
