She was getting her Master's Degree from Liberty University in Psychology, with an emphasis in counseling where she sought to become a professional mentor for others.

Lydia was a truly beautiful and Godly young woman who was everyone's friend. Her life was such a testimony, and her family should be so proud of their loved one. She reflected the love of her family and the joy of her Lord and Saviour. We can never understand why God called her home when He did, but we know there was a special reason. Our prayers for her family to heal and move on through the tough times continue.

I knew you when you were a small girl. I watched you play in the Big Bird House at Shannon Bible Chapel. You swam with my two small children. I love being around you and your family. I always loved your sweet smile. No doubt you will be missed here on earth. But I'm so thankful you had a wonderful Christian life. See ya in Heaven. Love Miss Lucretia Tower

Dear Snyder Family,
When we learned of Lydia's and Gabe's accident at our mid-week prayer service, we had no idea that these were your loved ones. It was only after we saw Lydia's photo that we realized she was the same beautiful young lady that she was when we taught her in AWANA Youth Clubs in the early 1980's. God bless you all--we remember how supportive and excited Mr. and Mrs. Snyder were with the kick-off of the new clubs, and what a close-knit, beautiful, loving family! You often wonder where young children will go in life, and it certainly shows that Lydia had her priorities straight with Jesus Christ being first in her life. Thank you for the privilege of meeting and working with you--seems like only yesterday! Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Love and Prayers

Lydia touched everyone she met. Bigger than life, bold, beautiful, gifted. She was a beacon, full of compassion, ready to invest in others. What an encourager, always building up. I am thankful for her life and the impact she had on so many for Christ. May we remember her example, and live life in light of eternity. Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! Lydia, you will be greatly missed, but we will see you again! Our prayers continue for the beloved Snyder family. We love you all!

Some of my earliest memories as a child were of Lydia and the Snyder family at Forest Grove. As an adult her smile is engrained in our hearts and her life has made an impact on many - far and wide. I do not remember a single time every seeing Lydia without a big beautiful smile on her face. She has truly left a Legacy to be lived on for many women! Barry, Joyce, Ben, Abigail, Gabe and Michael - prayers go out to you for comfort - words can never fill the void, but we can rest in assurance that Lydia is with OUR loving Savior! Love to you all!

I love that sweetie pie and am so thankful for her!!!! She lit up the room whenever she walked in! Praying for all of you as you adjust. She was so proud of her family. My last memory of her was a couple of months ago sitting at her family's dining room table, sharing about the spectacular meal her mom had fixed when her boyfriend came to visit. She was so blessed by Joyce's delicious meal and by her dad's involvement in her boyfriend's life. I will always remember how thankful she was for you Joyce and Barry!!! Love you all!!!

Lydia was a ray of sunshine to everyone who was ever with her. She baby sat my girl when they where little. God has gained a wonderful singer and person. We have lost a bundle of joy and happiness. I can't wait to see her again in Heaven as she will still be singing and shining for Jesus.

I too am a stranger to your family. I have seen the messages posted on Facebook of the sad passing of your beautiful young daughter that has touched many peoples lives. My sincerest sympathy to all of her family. I believe God has even more wonderful plans for her. I see it as she wasn't able to reach and share her love of God to as many people that needed her--- so she will do it from Heaven. I wish I would have known her personally because it sounds like a very caring and loving person . The kind of person God wants us to be. May He bless you and comfort you thru your time of grieving and healing.

I didn't know your beautiful daughter, Lydia; but I am compelled to leave you with a thought from a stranger. I was simply reading obituaries after work this evening and was reading your daughters and thinking to myself; what a beautiful person she has been in her short 32 years. My oldest God daughter graduated from Liberty University with a degree in religion and I remember how very proud I was of her that day. I see God in all aspects of Lydia's young life; from her wanting to become a counselor to holding her Bible studies. She surrounded herself with people to help and to help bring to The Lord. Lydia is a physically beautiful woman but it is most evident that she is beautiful on the inside as well. I can only imagine the loss and the pain that her entire family and friends are feeling at this time but after reading this beautiful tribute to her short life there is no doubt in this person's mind that she is with her Lord; she has claimed her reward in Heaven. No words can ever take away the pain that you are feeling but hopefully knowing that your precious child is in Heaven will help to dull that pain. I am a stranger to your family but I am praying that God surrounds you with His love and wraps His arms around you tightly.
Sincerely, Linda
