Lygon Stevens Obituary
Lygon was called home Jan. 10, after getting caught in an avalanche in southern Colorado.
An experienced mountaineer, she summited peaks from Alaska to Ecuador. She was a junior English major at UNC. Lygon's greatest love was her love for her Heavenly Father. Her journals reflecting that are touching lives across the country; her family will be sharing some of these at the memorial.
Lygon is survived by her parents and three siblings, Lauren, Nick and Lexy.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m., at the East Valley Foursquare Church in East Helena. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Lygon Stevens Memorial Fund or sent directly to the fund c/o 1st Bank of Northern Colorado, 229 E. 29th St., Loveland, CO 80538. This fund has been established to aid the search and rescue parties who will be bringing Lygon down from the mountain in the spring.

I am heartbroken that the world has lost such a young, beautiful angel of God. But I just praise God so much that, through this tragedy, Lygon's testimony and life's love= Christ- will reach so many!
