To the Schmidt Family, You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers especially today, June 14th which would have
been Mr. Schmidt's 84th birthday. I remember the day he told me he was born on Flag day, he was proud of that. I will always remember him on this day. He entered the world on a patriotic day and left on a patriotic day. May your many memories of him bring you comfort always.

Generous should of been Lyle's middle name. He was always very generous to me and my family. He held us to a higher standard and always wanted what was best. Sometimes it seemed hard, but always worth it. I know I am a better man, father, and friend having known him...and the influence he had on me. I will certainly miss him and will never forget him.

To Lyle's Family, Thank you for sharing the photos and memories. I remember so many happy times Ernie and I spent with you; vacations at the beach and visiting historical sites, enjoying good food, family times at Smittyville. I'm so sorry for your loss. My last memory of Opa was the Christmas after my father passed and he made a point of asking how Chris, my nephew, was doing. He was so thoughtful and caring.
