To the Schmidt Family, You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers especially today, June 14th which would have
been Mr. Schmidt's 84th birthday. I remember the day he told me he was born on Flag day, he was proud of that. I will always remember him on this day. He entered the world on a patriotic day and left on a patriotic day. May your many memories of him bring you comfort always.

Life will not be the same without our lovable Lyle. We miss you so very much. You were the best neighbor we will ever have. You were the first to come and greet us when we moved in with the six pack of Pepsi and later beer.. We always looked forward to seeing you in your garden enjoying the benefits of it. Watering it. Loving the impatients you had in the back. Vicki, Lori and Bruce, we are so very sorry for your loss. He will always be close in our hearts. Love, Mitch & Lucy

Generous should of been Lyle's middle name. He was always very generous to me and my family. He held us to a higher standard and always wanted what was best. Sometimes it seemed hard, but always worth it. I know I am a better man, father, and friend having known him...and the influence he had on me. I will certainly miss him and will never forget him.

Lori- as hard as this is for you and your family now, your dad is in a better place. He served his country, was a good husband, raised a family, was a man of great character and was loved by so many. Rest well Lt Col, your work on this earth is done. Your girls will be blessed by the memories of their grandfather.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My last memory of Opa was the Christmas after my father passed and he made a point of asking how Chris, my nephew, was doing. He was so thoughtful and caring.
