Lyndall Parrish Kimling

Graveside services for Lyndall Parrish Kimling, 88, of Lufkin, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Glendale Cemetery with Bro. Ross Black officiating. Mrs. Kimling was born November 1, 1922 in Burke, Texas, the daughter of the late Lema (Pitts) and Miles Hamilton Parrish. She passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 in a local nursing facility. Mrs. Kimling was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was retired from American National Life Insurance Company as an accountant. She was an artist, loved to paint, and taught ceramics. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cassandra "Casey" and Jerry Wade and Marsha and Bud Garwick; son and daughter-in-law, Michael H. and Carolyn Kimling; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Miles Wayne Kimling. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Kimling¹s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. Services are in the care of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
