Lynn Berenbach Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 28, 2025.
Miss Lynn Susan Berenbach, affectionately known as Susie to her friends and family, passed away on April 21, 2020, in Brooklyn, New York. She was 75 years old.

Born on October 17, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, Susie spent her formative years in the vibrant borough that would remain a central part of her life. From a young age, she displayed a remarkable talent for dance and contortion. Her early passion led her to appear several times on television's *Children's Hour Show*, where her performances delighted audiences and hinted at the expressive spirit that would define her throughout her life.

Susie pursued higher education at Monmouth University, where she earned a bachelor's degree. Her academic achievements reflected her determination and intellectual curiosity-qualities that would serve her well in both her personal and professional endeavors.

Throughout her life, Susie embraced change and resilience. She was married three times and divorced three times, navigating each chapter with strength and independence. Her love for dance remained constant; though no longer performing professionally, she continued to express herself through movement on the dance floor-a joyful outlet that connected her to others and to herself.

At the time of her passing, Susie was working with the New York City Department of Health and Human Services. Her role there underscored a lifelong commitment to public service and community well-being.

Susie was predeceased by her father, Milton Joseph Berenbach, and her mother, Florence Natelson Berenbach. She is survived by her brother Brian Berenbach of Edison, New Jersey.

May Susie's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
