My dear sister, I will remember your beauty, humor, strength, kindness, and selflessness. You were like a second mother to me, and I feel lost knowing that I can't hug you one last time. But I know you are with our dad now, and I know somehow that you know I love you. You will never be forgotten, and loved forever.
Your littlest sister, Sara Beth.

Professor Boyle was one of those "once in a lifetime" teachers. At almost every get together with fellow social work alumni, the topic of conversation always touches on Professor Boyle and how much we enjoyed her classes! Her passion for the field and for teaching the next generation of social workers was unmistakable. We were so lucky to have had her! She will be missed!

Lynn was an inspiring teacher and a caring person and I use what I learned in her class at Loyola every day in my work. Her great love for her children was very apparent. Best wishes and condolences to her family.

My deepest sympathies to the family, friends, loved ones, and the people whose lives Lynn Boyle touched. She was everything a social worker should be, but more.
I was amazed by her pure strength and dedication to the field and her students when she told our Introduction to Alcohol and Drug Diagnoses class about her struggles with cancer and was amazed when she shared she was teaching graduates, continuing in her own practice, doing so much for those she loves, while undergoing rounds of chemotherapy.
Her strength taught me how to be stronger, more resilient person.
Her teaching never suffered, and the knowledge I gained from her has impacted the way I think about and approach addiction. She showed me that all social workers should have some education on addictions and I see this truth in my work daily.
She touched the lives of so many, and will not be easily forgotten.

My sister Lynn was much much more than a professor, social worker, and the rest....she was a great dancer and lover of life. She taught me to twist to Chubby Checker, and we grooved together thru the years....she was my protector, my star, my rock. Her nephew William never met her, but strangely, there is a little bit of her inhI'm too. Patrick is a mensch beyond words...and he loved her like nobodies business. She was a great parent to Josh and Lily, and an example to me. Although she became distant in her illness, she was forever present in my heart, memories and dreams. I adored her.

Professor Boyle taught the very first class I attended at Loyola - in 2.5 hours time she became a hero to me - the courage, passion, brilliance, drive and smile she always brought to the classroom are things I will never forget - thank you, Professor Boyle, for opening my mind and heart in and outside of the classroom - you will be missed.
My condolences to Professor's Boyle family and friends - may she rest in peace.

Lynn's usual sunny disposition, even with clear health challenges, always inspired and humbled me. I always enjoyed our conversations and hearing about her deep love for her family.
