Lynn and I grew up a block apart in Hopkins, from prior to kindergarten to her marriage. We were playmates, doing what little girls did: play dress-up, played cards (Pig and the Spoon), and just enjoyed each other's company. Our brothers were best friends and our fathers were members of the Hopkins fire department for30 years. I will always cherish these memories of her, and in retrospect- wish I could have helped her with her culinary skills and she with my lack of knowing what to do with a glue gun! But in deference to Lynn, she lost her mother when she was in early elementary school whereas I spent much time in the kitchen cooking and baking for my 4 sibs, their friends, and my parents- and still enjoy doing so in my late retirement years. And interesting that we were both educators during our adult years!
My sincere condolences to you, her family, and may she rest in peace until we meet again, old friend.

Sincere sympathy to all her family. She was always the spitfire and I loved that about her

What can I say about Lynn? She was a character indeed. She was always up to something at Forbush Elementary. She was the "life of the party" as I thought. I didn´t get to speed a lot of time with her but enjoyed subbing at "Little Forbush" and getting to know her. Once you met her, you never forgot her. She kept you laughing. You could tell she loved her job and all those many children she touched. I saw her out several times and recently a few months ago. She had not changed a bit. I just want to say to the family that my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for your loss and you all are in my prayers. Hugs.

Lynn could bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart. I am glad that I had the privilege of working with her and that my daughter was in her class. While her kitchen skills may have been questionable her love for her students could never be doubted

I am so sorry for your family's loss. My family loved Lynn. My daughter, Anna Doub, had Lynn in first grade. We instantly became friends. I had the pleaseure of working with Lynn on many occasions, as I became a teacher assistant at Forbush and she was one of our favorite substitute teachers. We had many laughs!!! She deeply cared about each student she had! I will treasure my memories of Lynn Davis. Praying for all of you through this difficult time.
