Lynn was the brother of my sister-in- law, Alice Fair Shelton of Newport, AR and Wayne Fair of Ft. Walton, FL who are both still alive. We shared many hours with Lynn in the carport at my Mom's in Jonesboro on our annual visits from Mesa, AZ.

My earliest memory of Uncle Lynn was him dressed in full Indian leathers and doing Indian dances. He convinced me and my sister Susan that he was a full blooded Indian and it wasn't until years later that I realized this wasn't the case!
I was privileged to spend time with Lynn in my youth and seeing his love of nature. Duck hunting, quail hunting, catching monster blue gill bream at Claypool reserves are all vivid memories. When I was 8 years old I remember him pulling his truck up to greet our family on a visit to Arkansas - in the back of the truck were ~20 alligators for a wildlife release. This was in the early 70's so way ahead of its time.
It was always an experience to visit Lynn & Angie. There was Kitty Coon (raccoon), flying squirrels, their pet bobcat (that didn't last too long), and a german shepard (Nick???) that would drop heavy logs on your foot until you threw it in the lake for him to fetch. Lynn was a joy to be around.

Hanging out on Spring River 50 years ago. He was so sweet and loved talking about hunting and fishing.

I enjoyed caring for your father, as well as getting to know you as a family! He was so looking forward to having his family over for a barbq on his back porch when it got finished. I wonder if that ever happened? The last few times i was there before he got really bad, he would go sit out there in a lawn chair. He was so excited about it!
Thinking of you all with love!
