WINSTON-SALEM - Lynn Michelle Kyle, 35, of Winston-Salem, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Michelle was born January 13, 1972, in Winston-Salem. She was a member of Calvary Moravian Church and received her high school diploma from Davidson Community College. She had worked in construction, cabinetry and furniture-making before working as a Mammography Secretary at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Survivors include one daughter, Haley Michelle Covert of the home; her mother, Mary Lincoln Hampton, and stepfather Billy Hampton of Winston-Salem; her father, Ray Kyle, and stepmother Faye Kyle of Elba, Ala.; her paternal grandmother, Gladys Kyle of Waverly Hall, Ga.; a special aunt, Lynn Lincoln Biggam and husband Greg of Winston-Salem; three uncles, Edward Cloyd Lincoln of Winston-Salem, Dean Kyle of Waverly Hall, Ga. and Dale Kyle and wife M.J. of Denham Springs, La.; a number of cousins, which includes Patrick Lincoln Biggam and Hannah Emily Biggam of Winston-Salem; her mother-in-law, Judy Bellinger of Madison; her sister-in-law, Carol Aufderhall of Summerfield; one stepbrother, Steven Lance Hampton and wife Kim of Kernersville; and one stepsister, Robin Atwell and husband, Kevin of Brantley, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Wayne Covert, her maternal grandparents, Frank Preston and Emily Goodrum Lincoln, her paternal grandfather, Sam B. Kyle, and her step-grandmother, Ilene Hampton.

Service: A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Moravian with Pastor and close friend, The Rt. Rev. Lane A. Sapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Moravian Graveyard.

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church parlor.
