I was fortunate to have Lynn as my mother-in-law. She was not only joyful and fun, but also caring, supportive, and encouraging. Lynn welcomed me into her family right away and always treated me like her own...
In 1996, when Lancer and I started dating, Lynn and I liked each other immediately. A few years later, when I received Christ, we truly bonded and became close friends. We were both eager to learn God's word and soak up His presence; it was a very special time.
I will always remember the happiness we shared: at church events, family vacations (to Ocean Shores, Leavenworth, and the Great Wolf Lodge to name a few), on our many camping trips, and hiking through the Ape Caves! We had so much fun riding the rides at the Puyallup Fair together, taking the Sounders Train to Mariners games, and of course at our infamous family parties!
Lynn's generosity was amazing; if she saw a rip in the knee of one of our children's jeans, the next time we saw her she would have a bag full of clothes that she 'happened to come across,´ just for them.
I will never forget the time that one of our children needed some extra help learning to read. When Lynn heard about this, she immediately arranged for tutoring sessions near her house. These sessions were once a week for an entire year! Since, she knew we could not afford them at the time, she not only paid for the tutoring, but proceeded to have our family of six over to her home for a huge meal every single week (complete with Grandma's famous meat and cheese trays, and caramel apples- the kid's favorites). She was so welcoming; she always set up a little area for the kids, complete with a craft, and their favorite toys. When we were leaving, it was her tradition to have the kids each take a lollipop. Those simple evenings just hanging out and receiving her love, through her acts of kindness, will always be how I remember Lynn.
I only had the honor of knowing Lynn for 27 years of her life. She was a blessing to me as my mother-in-law, and I always considered her a good friend. Thank you, Lord, for letting her be a part of my life.

Lynn was a strong woman of faith who clearly loved her family and Jesus. She is celebrating in glory now and we will see her again. Until then, I hope her family finds comfort in her memory and carrying her legacy forward to new generations.

Lynn was a fun sister in law. It was obvious from the first time I met her, that goals were pretty important to her. I remember a lot of cool stories about Lynn, but one of my favorites was her "Baby Board" for her Beauty School at the YWCA in Portland, Oregon. Because I had so much hair, she asked me to be her model for Baby Board tests. At first I was tickled and proud to be her model. Then the practice sessions began, and my hair got shorter and shorter and shorter until someone suggested she stop practicing or her subject (me) wouldn't have enough hair to work with during her boards! I was all for that! Soon after the day came when she and my brother picked me up and we headed to Portland, Oregon. It was so exciting. Once we got to the YWCA and checked in, Lynn became nervous about how she would do on her upcoming boards. The morning of her boards she even threw up! Then she discovered she'd forgotten to pack her slip, and the white, thin material of her uniform definitely required a slip! Someone had packed an extra slip, and it calmed Lynn down somewhat, but she was till worried sick about how she would do on her test. Looking back it reminds me of her youngest daughter, Shelley, when Shelley was showing her Thoroughbred, Rusty. Shelley would get so nervous and half sick before the show, but once the games began Shelley and Rusty would take the ribbons!! As did Lynn once I was seated in the Beauty Shop Chair at her Baby Boards. Needless to say, Lynn did awesome. It wasn't long after that that her and my brother got married and started their family together. Over the years I admired the way Lynn kept herself, her home and her family so healthy and beautiful thru good times (and a few hard times). Lynn was one of the strongest women I'd ever met, and at the same time one of most entertaining. She could keep you laughing without even trying. I didn't get to spend much time around Lynn after we got older, but she's always been in my heart. It's a comfort to know her faith was strong and she is with Jesus now. You are loved, and you will be missed, Lynn. We will all be together again one day.

Steve and I will always remember Lynn with a smile on her face enjoying life to the fullest with her family and friends. We were fortunate to have enjoyed many happy celebrations with Lynn and her family. It was always evident how much Lynn cherished her family and she will be greatly missed.

My Mom
Jesus lover, dog lover, taskmaster, family gatherer, sweet and spicy! Mom was and forever will be respected and honored.
Growing up we were so well taken care of. Lancer, Shelley, and I had our vitamins every day and endless activities throughout our childhoods. CampFire Leadership, Girl Scouts Leadership, swim lessons, ballet lessons, soccer practices, horse lessons, summer camps and so many committed tasks on our behalf. Her commitment to her family ran so deeply and is truly passed on.
If you knew my mom, family parties were a big part of our lives. Food was a main focal point and very important to my mom. I remember many of times Mom saying "I´m hungry", "When is dinner, and where's the food!" Mom loved a good gathering and being surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and dogs. I know she is now enjoying the biggest spread of crab, spaghetti, french bread, salads, monte cristo´s, and ice cream that heaven can supply!
Mom's faith in the Lord was the deepest; it was life-changing for her and all of our family. Her passion for bible studies and learning about Jesus grew daily. This was evident to everyone around her, we all experienced her love for God. She was a faithful servant in the church and will be missed by so many! Life won't be the same, BUT we have these legacies to carry on! SO CARRY ON FAMILY!
WE LOVE YOU MOM!

Mom received Jesus to be forever free from sin. We miss her more than we could ever imagine. But we are so happy she is in heaven. Thank you Jesus for being in our mom's heart. She is forever with you God!
