Lynn Rosen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 31, 2024.
Lynn Francine Rosen passed in her sleep on May 30, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born and raised in Rockville Centre, NY and graduated from Southside High School in 1957. She attended Endicott College but during the summer following her Freshman year, she met Alvin Rosen who proposed marriage 10 days later. After a whirlwind romance, they married at the Plaza Hotel on November 30, 1958. They were happily married for 62 years until her beloved Alvin passed in 2021.

They raised four loving sons: Bruce, James, Glenn, and Kyle and were devoted parents. In 1972, the family moved from Long Island, NY to Beverly Hills where they enjoyed a beautiful, charmed and charitable life.

Lynn was incredibly kind, generous, fun-loving, and always young at heart. She put her family first, was a deeply committed friend, but also maintained her own passions. She was a brilliant sculptor, an avid tennis player, and an accomplished chef. She volunteered in the community, coached Little League, taught art at the Braille Institute, and mentored young people with Down Syndrome. She also served as President of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

In her free time, Lynn loved deep sea fishing, growing fruits and vegetables, driving the tractor at her Rosewater vineyard, and watching baseball. Her favorite meal was a 4 pound lobster at The Palm - she'd never leave a morsel behind. And potato chips for dessert.

Lynn is deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community who adored her. She is survived by her sons Bruce, James, and Kyle, daughters-in-law Vicky and Layne and 16 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, you can honor Lynn's memory with a donation to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
