Maarten C. Kastelein 1930 - 2015 Max Kastelein passed away peacefully, going to be with our Lord on Feb. 24 after a long period of declining health. Max was born in Den Hague, Netherlands in 1930, served for a time with the Korps Mariniers, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952. He married Helen in 1956 and together they raised 5 children. He worked hard in various jobs, eventually establishing himself as an independent insurance broker, trusted by many. He is survived by Helen, his children Martin, Arthur (Helen), Diana (Pete) Den Haan, Marguerite (Mike) Brouwer, and Eleanor (Eric) Doornberg, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren as well as siblings John, Diane (Herman), Bill, Jack, Harry and extended family.

A celebration of Max's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday March 2 at New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, 8225 - 13 Ave, Burnaby (www.nwcrc.ca).
