Mable Thomas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2022.

Mable Thomas age 61 of Odessa, TX entered eternal life with our Heavenly Father on July 26Th 2022. She was born on August 12th 1960 to Willis and Ramona Smith in Henderson TX. She married the love her life Bill Thomas on December 20, 1987 and shared a wonderful life full of love and adventures.

In her early 40’s she worked as a cosmetologist and loved to play beauty shop, if anyone wanted highlights they knew where to go! Mable’s next adventure was teaching at Zion Christian where she taught many years where she considered all her students to be family. In her down time you could find Mable at the closest casino just knowing she was going to win big and when she did she donated it right back! Other hobbies she enjoyed were riding motorcycles, playing weekly poker or taking her grandkids to the bingo hall. Mable’s greatest accomplishments if anyone asked her were her children and grandkids that knew her as the best MawMaw in the world, at any given time you would find her with multiple grandkids at her hip and she wouldn’t have had it any other way. Mable couldn’t go a day without her morning coffee and sonic diet cokes. She was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed. Mable was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, rather it be family, or just someone that needed it. She never judged a person they were all loved by her. She believed in God and his forgiveness.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Bill Thomas of Odessa; Children Stacy Blake and husband Brandon, Randy Goltl, Cody Goltl, Casey Thomas and wife Gabbie, Jeff Thomas and wife Jackie all of Odessa, TX; Rusty Thomas and wife Cheri of Goldsmith, TX; and Angela Martin and husband Gary of Colorado City, TX. Siblings include Waylan Waits and wife Brenda of Houston, TX; Sue Copeland of Overton, TX; Walter Smith and wife Tracy of Cross Plains, TX. Grandkids: Mallorie, Kaelie, Emalie, Natalie, Braylie, Brody, Boston, Colt, CJ, Presley, Conner, Abby, Nikki, Alyssa, Trey, Baby J, Julianna, Tyler, Braden, Mason Maci, and Kadey as well as numerous extended family members and friends that were like family.

Mable is preceded in death by her parents Willis and Ramona Smith, siblings; Betty Evans, Charles Ray Smith, and William Smith; angel-grand babies, Ryder and Cason.
