I was Mackenzie,s science teacher at South. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a bright light wherever she went and I think of that light shining on in the universe. I am sad for all the future that will not be shared with her. I remember Allie,too. I am so sad for you losing your sister. Both of you made such a deep impression on me. My name is Tena Pate and I was one of Kenzie's roommates. I am unable to make it to the funeral however I will be thinking about her. I am so sorry for what happened and I know that she is in a better place. Prayers for the family.

Although we never met you we know your grandparents. Her short life history will be a example for others. She will be sincerely missed.

I met Miss Madden around campus and at Angie's Restuarant. Though we only waved or said hello in passing, she always seemed happy. I just wanted to say thank you Mackenzie from a USU Staff member here in Logan. RIP and much thoughts and Prayers to all your loved ones!! God Bless

For almost 20 years that I knew you, growing up from a beautiful baby to a beautiful, intelligent caring young lady, I was in awe at how you excelled at everything you did. Kenzie you may have left a hole in this family but will live in my heart forever. Rest in peace our angel Kenzie.

I'm still in shock about MacKenzie's passing. She was one of my classmates and she was a beautiful person. I loved getting to know her in class. She was always happy and determined. As a fellow future police officer who just graduated USU and is entering the academy this fall, I consider MacKenzie's loss equivalent to losing a fellow officer. I know she would have been a fantastic officer. Aggies and your brothers and sisters in blue will miss you, MacKenzie.

Our heart is broken in half on the loss of our sweet baby girl. When she asked me if I would be her grandma, my heart was full of joy and told her it would my honor.
