Madelyn "Maddy" Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 26, 2024.
On January 22, 2024, Madelyn Joy Brown, 20 years old of Andrews, SC, passed peacefully to God's loving arms after an unexplainable medical event. Madelyn was born on November 18th, 2003 in Newark, Delaware at Christiana Hospital. She was the first pride and joy of Curtis Edward Brown and Lori Marie Brown (Corron). Madelyn's childhood began in Elkton, Cecil County, MD where she was putting away her own laundry at two years old. She was always very responsible and enjoyed keeping a meticulous room decorated with affirmations, pictures with friends and family and all her favorite things. Madelyn enjoyed growing up in the country and on the farm in South Carolina where she rode horses. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding and skeet shooting. She always enjoyed life to the fullest - wanting to do the most adventurous activities like whitewater rafting and paragliding.

Madelyn had a wonderful grade school experience at Andrews Elementary and graduated with honors from Williamsburg Academy. Most recently, she was a Sophomore at Coastal Carolina University in their honors program. She took her studies seriously and always handled her schoolwork without any provocation from her parents. Madelyn also worked a part time job at Root on Front Street in Georgetown where she shared her tremendous work ethic, teamwork and positivity. She made it a focus to be the best version of herself and always encouraged friends and family in doing the same.

Madelyn was a loving and respectful daughter, always wanting to delight her parents which she most certainly did. She was a fierce protector of her sister always guiding with heartfelt advice in her best interest. Madelyn showed love to all her family in every single interaction. She was also always a loyal and dependable friend. Madelyn was fun-loving, goofy and silly which made spending time with her so very wonderful and memorable. She truly was, as her middle name, a JOY! We were all blessed to have known her.

Madelyn is survived by her doting parents Curt and Lori Brown and her admiring sister Lorelei Grace Brown; her proud grandparents Ed and Paula Voyton, Ron Brown, Larry and Darlene Corron, and Heather Campbell; her embracing aunts and uncles including Kevin Brown, Carri Quill, Linda Corron, Larry Corron II; dear cousins and many other family members and loved ones. No near-term funeral services will be arranged, however, a celebration of life will be planned for later this year.
