Llewellyn C. Reider RED LION Llewellyn (Fritz) C. Reider, 82, died Monday, February 9, 2004, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria D. (Kinard) Reider. They were married for 58 years. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. James VanZandt officiating. Burial will be Craley United Methodist Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Military Honors will be performed by the Marine Corps League and the York County Honor Guard. Mr. Reider was born August 5, 1921, in Windsor Township. He was the son of the late Milton B. and Alverta (Smith) Reider. Mr. Reider retired after 35 years of service as a bricklayer with Baltimore Local No. 1 in 1986. He was a life member of Springfield Twp. Farmers and Sportsman Association and a life member of The Marine Corps League; a member of the American Legion Post No. 543, Red Lion and the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local No. 1 of Maryland. He served in the Pacific Theater in World War II with the First Marine Division. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Reider and Clay S. Rieder, both of Red Lion; a daughter, Denise C. Kerr of Red Lion; three granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Dean Reider of Brogue; and a sister, Leola Brenneman of Dallastown. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Quinton Reider and Levere Reider. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York Cancer Center, Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Road.
