Mae E. Mullins 1944-2017
73, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Bay City, Mich., on February 5, 1944, to the late, Roy and Lucy May Dingman; and was employed with the Ford Motor Company for 15 years. Mae was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Monroe, Mich.; and volunteered extensively at the Crystal Park United Methodist Church Soup Kitchen. She was an accomplished painter and sketcher; and was an avid animal lover. Her family was very important to her and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mae was always willing to help those in need and would do anything for anyone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Elaine Dingman; and her niece, Mia Dingman.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, Bertrand V. Mullins; children: Michelle Boudrie, Sharon Ashmore Shelton, Scott Boudrie, Martha Goetz, Edward Ashmore, Patricia Wood, Jennifer Meyers, LaShawnda Jackson Bey, and step-daughter, Robin Pierce; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Penny (William) Doom, Shena Metcalf, Noka (Walter) Taylor and Roy Dingman Jr.
In honoring her wishes, Mae will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Crystal Park United Methodist Church, 2219 Mahoning Rd. N.E., on Friday evening.
