VENA, (née Buffone) Mafalda
November 16, 1914 - December 9, 2012
Mafalda Vena (née Buffone) passed peacefully at the age of 98 years on December 9, 2012. Her last weeks were filled with family, tears and farewells. She never faltered and held on to the end with the familiar strength that marked her character. She will be greatly missed by her son Franco Vena (Carmen) and her daughter Antonietta Desjardins (André); her grandchildren Jack Vena (Cindy), Maria Clifford (Tom), Steve Vena, Frank Vena (Laura), Francine Spagnoli (John), Charmaine Michaud (Mike), Denis Desjardins (Cheryl Kilbride), Angélique Desjardins (Rémy Bélanger), Patrizio Vena and Alessandro Vena; her seventeen great- granchildren; her sister Ida Caluori (late Eugenio); and her brother Mario Buffone (Eva). She is predeceased by her husband Annunziato Vena, her son Gino Vena (Liliane), her sister Antonietta Lepore (late Giuseppe) and her brother Giovanni Buffone (Caroline).
