Malachi Zechariah David Martin, affectionately known as "Zack," was born to Bonnie David and Juanita Martin, both now deceased, in Fairfield, CA, on February 27, 1968.

Zack was baptized and accepted Christ. He attended Vallejo schools and graduated from Vallejo High School in 1986. He began dating his wife of 30 years, Charlene Martin, in November 1993 and they were married on August 2, 1998. They have a blended family of seven children and together Zack and Charlene raised four daughters, Radelle "Noonie", Salena, Ma'lazhane, and Zashiana.

Zack was a construction laborer at trade and held several jobs working for numerous contractors. In addition to this, he worked for Caltrans as a Highway Maintenance Worker, and the Vallejo-Martinez Veterans Medical Center as a Security Guard which he loved to do. At his demise, he was employed with the Bayview Hunter's Point Community Foundation as a Care Monitor.

Zack enjoyed cooking and sitting in his front yard playing dominoes with his family and friends. He loved sitting in his truck listening to music, and giving advice to all who needed it. Zack was a natural giver and was known for sharing what he had with the homeless and friends in need whether it was money, clothes, shoes, food, or temporary shelter. He loved his family and close friends wholeheartedly and you would find him laughing, telling jokes, and spending quality time with his kids and grandkids. He also had a love for old school cars which he collected with projects in mind.

Zack unexpectedly departed this life on November 11, 2023.

Let us all remember Zack as the great person he was and the memories we share. His spirit will continue to live on in all of our hearts.

He leaves to forever cherish his life, his wife, Charlene Martin; one son, Malachi Martin II (Christal); six daughters: Radelle Martin (Gemarr), Zakiya Martin, Salena Philson-Martin, Ma'kiah Martin, MaLazhane Martin, and Zashiana Martin; Grandchildren: Matthew Thurston III., Malachi Martin III, Zailon Mulder, Den'vir and Derek Davenport, Zamiya Williams, Zaniyah Lyons, and Deziyah Jones; one brother, Leon Martin Sr.; five sisters: Shirley Tucker (Danny), Rita Martin, Ramona Burton (Reggie), Zella Smith, and Sarah Martin; mother-in-law, Karen Douglas, and a numerous host of relatives and friends.

In addition to those mentioned, Zack is preceded in death by his grandparents Johnnie and Violet Upton; one brother, Bonnie David Martin Jr., and one sister, Solomia Williams.
