Malachy E. Fallon, 65, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on April 30, 2023. He was born in Springfield on December 27, 1957, to the late Edward and Mary (O'Connor) Fallon. Mal graduated from Cathedral High School in 1975 and went on to attend WNEC. He had a long career as a chef in many Springfield area restaurants including the LaddiBuck in Ludlow. He then went on to be the owner/operator of the Van Horn Spa on Main St. in Springfield. Mal enjoyed playing golf especially in the annual Fallon Open despite usually losing to his brothers and nephews. Mal took great joy in cooking delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the Fallon and Rewinski families… the families took great joy in eating anything he would put on a plate. Most of all, Mal was a kind and thoughtful person who was always there for anyone who needed him. He was predeceased by his son Edmond Fallon, his brother Michael Fallon, and his parents. Malachy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen (Rewinski) Fallon, his son William, his daughter Caroline, his sisters Mary Provost and Katherine Sousa, his brothers Joseph, William, James, and Edward. He also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation for Malachy is on Tuesday May 9, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm at Sampsons Chapels of the Acres 21 Tinkham Rd. Springfield MA 01129. A liturgy of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday May 10, 2023, at 11am at St. Cecilia's Church 42 Main St. Wilbraham MA 01129. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mal's name may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute Attn: Contribution Services, 450 Brookline Ave., Brookline MA 02215.

My sincere condolences to Mal´s Family. I remember working with him at the Laddy buck restaurant. He was one of the nicest people that I´ve met. And a great coworker, Debra Belisle.

I just heard of Mal's passing. I am so sorry, Karen, and all the Fallon Brothers for you loss. I worked with Mal at the Van Horn Spa and we had many laughs. Kathy and myself were known there as the Lucky Ladies. I will surely miss him. XO

To All The Fallons:
Our sincerest condolences on Malachy's passing. It's been almost 60 years since the days of my sister and I playing with "Katie & Mal" on Parkside St. Some of those memories are as clear as a bell; others not so much anymore. Whether in our backyard pool, games on the street, or on those raining days, poking around in that Fallon attic, we had days and days of good times. (See pic of Katie, Mal, Nancy, and Jim Currie). Again, all the Davins offer our most heartfelt condolences. Rest in Peace, Mal !

To Malachy´s Family:
We were saddened to learn of Malachy´s passing, and at such a young age. My late wife, Anne Marie (Flynn) Fitzgerald, was his Godmother. She died at age 48, and had little time to fulfill her Godmotherly duties for Malachy. All of the Fallons are in our prayers. Malachy´s enjoyable personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Karen,William,Caroline and the Fallon/Rewinski family. I was very sorry to hear of Mal's passing.It was always a pleasure to see Mal whether it was at the Van Horn or on the golf course.He had that wry smile with the dry wit to go along with it..He was a great mentor to all His young employees at the Van Horn. A great family man and an all around great guy.A life well lived because He did make a difference.
