Malakaj was truly a messenger. In his short life, he taught us how to love and live abundantly. He greeted everyone with a smile and ended visits with a, "see you later", instead of goodbye. See you later "Kaj". Papa loves you.

I met Malakaj in November 2020 as his new eye doctor. I was impressed with Malakaj's positive and bubbly personality. He was especially endearing to the members of our optical team that he worked with. He was optimistic in the face of trial and adversity. When faced with a challenge, like the frustration of having to wear glasses to see clearly, some people let the frustration turn to decreased confidence or self pity. Malakaj leaned in to his trial and thrived, eager to perform as good as possible, and excited to grow into a version of his dad. I thank God that families can be together forever, reunited, never to be divided again.
