I worked with Malcom for several years and he was always a joy to be around. If there ever was anyone who was a wonderful conversationalist it was Malcolm. Sorry to hear about his passing. The world needs more interesting and engaged people such as he was.

I truly miss Malcolm's sage advice. I lost my father in law in April, and share your grief at losing your father. I hope you have been able to find peace in the knowledge that your father loved you and was so proud of you; he mentioned you in his columns often, and his pride was obvious.

Malcolm's stock picks helped me out of some pretty rocky places in my life, and for that I am most grateful. I am just sorry he is not still around to grace the financial world with his wit and wisdom. Rest easy, Malcolm, you will have many stars in your crown from the many people like me that you helped in this life.

I was very saddened to hear of Malcom's passing. His column was the best I have ever read on financial matters and advice and counsel. He was one of a kind. and his irreverence to some was right on target. My sympathy to Malcom's family.

Saddened to learn of Malcolm's death. We went back to when he wrote three columns a week for the old Copley News Service. My first contact with him was as a deadline wrangler. I then became his copy editor. He was sometimes challenging and always witty. He tended to make up a factoid here and there and slip it in to see if I was awake. These wouldn't alter the substance of a column, but if I missed one, it would briefly alter the quality of my life. We kept in touch after Copley dissolved, and I enjoyed our conversations that always ended, "Fare well, Frank." Farewell, Malcolm.

I read Malcolm Berko's investment columns probably for most of the 40 plus years that he wrote them. I would cut many of them out to save for future reference. Always enjoyed his views, opinions, sarcasm, etc. Also that if he was ever wrong about a particular investment, he would quickly admit that. Found his columns humorous and respected his honesty. Never met him yet felt like I knew him from following him for so many decades. RIP Mr. Berko. Condolences to his family and friends.

I just found out about Malcolm's passing. Very sad news, and belated condolences to his family. I knew him for about 5 years. We did lunches, dinnner , stopped in at each others offices and he loved coming to see my Doberman, Charlie. I very much enjoyed the times we spent talking about different things , crime of the century, politics, etc. that were not necessarily related to money. Wish we could have spent more time. What a genuinely nice and interesting man! Until we meet again my friend... RIP

I will miss his column. I read it every week and sometimes emailed him my views. He always answered. He was my "go to" guy when I needed a real clear opinion on an investment. I am sad!!

Malcolm was a great friend. My wife and I visited him at his Florida office twice in the last few years. He was a great host. Malcolm and I exchanged emails almost weekly so I was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. He was a genuine individual with many talents. His columns were always informative as well as entertaining. His humor, honesty and impressive vocabulary offered a refreshing break in my day. He was a genuine individual. We will miss him but we will celebrate his great life.

Malcon's column in Columbus Business First is the only article that I read completely in this business journal every week. I cut many issues and saved in a folder. I feel very sad that he no longer able to write such informative and humorous article. We will miss him.

I will greatly miss Mr. Berko's weekly column that provided
valuable information and constructive advice mixed with an
entertaining amount of humor, wit and sarcasm. His column was
the main reason I subscribed to the weekly Columbus Business
First and his views regarding major brokerage firms generally
tracked my own. I occasionally exchanged emails with him and
though I never met him I considered him a "friend".

A truly wonderful man has passed away. One of the best investment writers in 62 years of reading (I am 71) just about every investment advisory letter.
My sincere condolences to his spouse, children, et al.
Godspeed, Malcolm Berko, Godspeed!

Has been my advisor for the past 20 + years. Spoke mostly by phone and will miss his financial advice and personal conservations with him! A true friend. I am so happy I received his Poetry, Ponderings and Musings book. I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are truly with his family, whom he spoke of often.

When I had a problem with a brokerage, Malcom not only gave me excellent advice; he made the effort to put me in touch with a friend who has continued to provide me with ongoing advice for the past eleven years. I feel that I have lost a cherished friend and mentor. I shall miss reading his column in the Sunday Oklahoman. My sincere condolences to his family.
