Dear Bronwyn
I never met your husband ,but I have great memories of your family and my family growing up. Remembering the person you were as a child I am sure that he was a good family man. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you , your daughter and grandson in my prayers.

I'm Mal's stepbrother and I have known him since he was nine years old and I was 11 back in very early 1963. I always understood that Mal was one of the Good Guys in possession of a quite accurate moral compass.
We used to joke that he was the Beaver and I was Eddie Haskell. And we got into a a fair piece of mischief from 1963 to 1967.
I also know he was a born teacher and he loved his students and athletes. He was also a devoted family man.
He had a great sense of humor that I will miss with our phone calls.
And I know that my world will be much poorer due to his absence.

Dear Bronwyn
I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on your loss. Mal was a wonderful man. My late father, John Dover, thought the world of him. My family were always greatful for his friendship. It was a privilege to know Mal. His legacy lives on in the lives of all the students he guided and the friends who will always remember and love him.

I am saddened by Mal’s death, too young in spirit. We weren’t close and seldom crossed paths but when we did he brightened my day. Farewell and a soft landing in your new home.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Caldwell. I had the privilege of knowing him as a teacher when I attended the Middle School of Pacolet in the mid-90s. He was one of my favorite teachers, and even though I wasn’t thrilled to take industrial arts, he made the class fun and interesting.
In recent years, he was a great friend and supporter of my family, especially after the passing of my grandfather, John Dover. The fact that he stayed in touch was an expression of his kind heart. He will greatly missed.

With a ready smile and quick wit, what was not to like the affable and unflappable Mal. Although I haven't been lucky enough to be around him much since our days at Dorman. My thoughts of him are all about how friendly always. A genuine person, to me.

Coach Caldwell was a fabulous man, teacher and coach. The lessons he taught reached far beyond the classroom and have stayed with me to this day. His love for his family, students, and job made a lasting impression on so many. It wasn´t just shop class, it was applicable life and family lessons. He not only taught me, but also gave me my first job as an educator. He continued to be a supporter and mentor since. Forever grateful for the loving impact he has had upon my life and so many others. Thank you Coach - with love.
