Mike Cherry was one of the finest men I have ever known and was a shining example for me to emulate. His kindness, intelligence, and wonderful smile was infectious. As proof of his kindness, as a young man with children of his own, he welcomed my mother into his home to prevent her from going to a orphanage. He raised and treated her as one of his own and showed her a father's love. Without his intervention, there is no telling what my mothers life would have been, and by extension, mine and my sisters life. Me and my family will forever be indebted to Mike and our love for him will be enduring. The world has lost a wonderful sole, but heaven has gained a shinning star. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike's other family and friends. RIP Mike...I love you!
