Think of Mal often. Have many good memories of times spent at his campground. He always managed to find the positives, regardless of what came his way. Remember how much he enjoyed collecting "treasures" for his little antic store. Also, how he liked to spend time at his hunting camp, where he feed the bears apples and day-old bread. Could write a book about the stories and experiences he always time to share with people. ..Graham and Ella May

Dear Aunt Mary and Family,

I would like to relay a little story to you about Uncle Mal that is very special to me: once in our basement at home I was practicing my slap-shot and uncle Mal came downstairs to have a look. I wasn’t very old, around 12, and had tryouts coming up. He gave me some advice and showed me how to do it, and my shot has been better ever since. The time he took and his lesson really meant a lot to me and I will never forget it.

My sincere condolences to you for the loss of Uncle Mal. Love Dan

My family have always rented cottages at Ferguson Falls ... and every summer we would see Mal at the store... we had so much fun talking with him...we would talk about antiques, auctions, I would rent a table when he would have his yard sales at Mal's camp ground... He always took the time to talked with my 86 year old Mother...

Mal was such a wonderful person. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

You'll be greatly missed, Mal. We'll always remember when you were laughing so hard you could hardly tell us the story of the night Mary got up and went outside in her pjs.,in the middle of the night to try simulating a rain storm by turning the garden hose on the bedroom window, as she banged on the wall pretending to be thunder. She knew you always slept well during a rain storm, so was just trying to be helpful, as you were having difficulty falling asleep.
