I first met Malcom when I was about 22-23 years old. I was working at Merritt Boat Works when Malcom came in to work on an old generator. I remember being impressed by his knowledge and his kindness.
That was about 40 years ago and I have had many other good memories over the decades.

I knew Malcolm Parton when I was growing up on
Staniel Cay. He was always a kind man to us kids.
I was involved in the Girl Scouts on the island and he gave me the address to the Queen of England!!
I wrote her about the Girl Scouts/Brownies since she loved hear about them and supported them. (I actually received a letter back from Her majesty's Lady-in-waiting!! (Still have it)!!
Rest in Peace Malcolm Parton.
So sorry cancer took you from your family.
Say "Hi" to Dad (Captain Bob Chamberlain) for me. I know you will be having a drink with him!!

Malcolm's father was married to my grandmother. I lived with them both in 71/72. Malcolm came to stay and when he saw I didn't have a pushbike, he bought me one. My grandmother adored him and used to visit him in the Bahamas. Great man. Very sorry to hear he has passed. Condolences to family.

Malcolm was always so cheerful, smiling......always busy with something...never thought things would end as such. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to all his family....you all have wonderful memories with him... We threw a surprise party for Lee Green, who is pictured here with Malcolm.

A great loss my beloved brother, we lost our mother at a very young age but we had a good step mother and father for many years.
My most memorable time was when you turned up at my 70th birthday party, what a lovely surprise
I enjoyed my visit to your home in Fort Lauderdale but I remember when you took me flying in your plane and you ask me to take control, my knuckles went white I was terrified.
You were the most laid-back person nothing phased you, you were kind and loving and incredibly hard working.
Sleep well not too many whiskeys with Maurice and Jim
Lots and lots of love from your loving sister Jacqueline

Malcome always available and helpful. I remember been working in a boat and asking for some terminal he says "stop by to the shop" and he search for it and gave me those terminals so I can solve my problem without charging or asking any thing. Always involved and hands on the work.

I have been on many surveys with Malcom over the years. I always appreciated his calmness and professionalism!
We surveyed a Christensen about 6 weeks ago. We all had lunch in the crew mess and had a wonderful gab fest. Malcolm said he loved his family, Columbia, and working.
I always admired how much he loved his family.
I think all of us enjoyed his dry English wit, too!
Malcolm, you will be sorely missed and greatly appreciated.
Bon voyage,
K

A great loss of a beloved cousin. We spent many happy hours in each others company growing up. Playing snooker on Grandads full size snooker table. In later years his visits to Cleethorpes would always include a visit to ours. It´s so sad I lost my beloved husband and you within two weeks. There will be a big hole in our hearts Malcolm. Sleep soundly and God bless. Your cousin Anne xx

Malcolm was a great guy and an amazing electricians. He flew to St. Maarten and replaced two generators onboard a boat I was the captain of. My only regret at the end of the install of the generators was that I could not hang out with Malcolm any more as he had to get home to his family!
I will miss him....

I had the pleasure of knowing Malcolm since 1983. We worked together solving problems and fixing Cheoy Lees. He was my first customer when I tried selling water filters. Only admitting years later, that the product failed.
I did many sea trials with him, flew in his plane with him and had, probably the funniest time on the water with him, when we almost sunk the airboat in the Everglades. What Gem. A true Gentlemanan, always willing to help, and best of all, a great sense of humour. You will be sorely missed Malcolm. RIP Old Mate.

I met Malcolm about fifteen years ago when his technical skills helped get a half sunken motor yacht back into service.
I didn't know what a pleasure it could be to work with a straightforward honest man in a town of thieves and robbers.
His honesty and morality shone through those sparkling crinkled eyes of his.
After a year of working on that crazy project we had become friends and he told me tales of his idyllic life in Columbia with a beautiful woman who happened to love him back.
I spoke with him just a couple of weeks ago and I even wrangled an invite to drinks with him at his regular Friday night gathering at his home.
Now look where he is...
Changing lightbulbs for the heavenly choir, and helping the cherubim string their bows and harps.
My thoughts, wishes, prayers and hopes go out to his wonderful wife, daughters and family.
He was so easy to like.
Long may your name be remembered Malcom.

My dad was one of the good ones. He was always there when I needed him, had the best advice, supported me, loved me, and was overall a great father. I knew I could always count on him. He was funny, innovative, wise, hardworking, and smart. He always had great stories to tell from living such an interesting life. Truly one of a kind. Forever in our hearts <3

This is certainly a shock to the system, It seems I was just talking to him and he was full of life, I Knew Malcolm for over 35 yrs and when I came to S. Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. He always did right by people, and I will remember his kindness and generosity in his dealings with Michelle and our daughter Natalia. I´ll never forget the Dance Party video games and other post-dinner activities (trivia, password) he´d gleefully take part in after holiday feasts at Michelle´s. Take solace that he lived a full and rich life and leaves a lasting legacy. mm
