Andy was always the perfect gentleman. Every time he came to town, he always called and we met for lunch, dinner or just a visit at the hangar. Just had lunch with him a few weeks prior to his passing and texted with him a few days before. He will be missed by all that knew him but knowing people as good as Andy passed before us, makes it all the easier when our time comes.
Will miss you my friend.

I am so sorry to learn of Andy's passing. Andy was always so pleasant to be around and always extended his warm southern hospitality to me at NBAA. I had met Andy at a NAFA event a few years back and always looked forward to bumping into him at aviation events. Stacie and Emma Grace I am so sorry for your loss. I know the aviation community mourns with you.

This will be one of many "Andy Stories" you will hear. Things he did just being Andy that made a tremendous impact in the lives of others. I lost my Dad suddenly in July 2021. He had been a widower for many years, so I made him call me every day by noon just to make sure he was still alive (Andy loved that). My Dad was such a huge part of my daily life, his absence left a painful gaping hole. I started what my Dad always called "the year of first" ...first birthdays, first holidays, first everything without him. Then, my good friend Andy called to ease the transition. What a blessing he was to me that first year. "You popped in my head; thought you might need a call" -- spot on every time. We would exchange "Dad" stories and shoot the breeze until I was over the hump and felt human again. My Dad, like Andy was a big man...big in body and in soul. If you have been blessed to know men that don't just occupy a space but command a presence, you know what I mean. Andy changed the dynamics of a room just by walking into it. I miss him and my heart breaks for the family he loved so dearly.

Emma and Stacie, we love you and our prayers and arms are here for you
