Malin Green Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 3, 2024.
Malin Craig Green, a beloved father, friend, uncle, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at the age of 76 in a tragic car accident in Nevada.

Malin was born on February 21st, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the third of four children to Marion Clayton Green Sr. and Glenda (Lyman) Green. Raised in Wendover, Utah, where Malin developed a deep love for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure that defined his entire life. He attended Wasatch Academy and proudly served in the Army. Throughout his lifetime, he supported his family through his diverse skills and resourcefulness, embodying the essence of a true jack of all trades.

Malin's passion for the outdoors rivaled his love for his family. He cherished passing down his knowledge and skills, especially to his two daughters, Sara and Ashley. They will forever treasure memories of his snarky wisdom and shared adventures. Malin lived life on his own terms, facing challenges head-on and earning both respect and affection, often accompanied by a few eye rolls.

Malin is preceded in death by his father, Marion Clayton Green, in 1965, his mother, Glenda Green, in 2004, and his youngest brother, Golden Green, in 2022.

He is survived by his daughters Sara Green-Anderson (Jeff Anderson and Ainsley Anderson) and Ashley Green-Tate (Chase Tate) sister Marie Green (Pokie), brother Marion Clayton Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews who will all hold his memory close in their hearts.

Malin's legacy endures through the untamed landscapes he adored, the cowboy spirit he embodied, and the lives he touched deeply.

A celebration of Malin's life will take place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at West Bountiful City Park (wbcityut.gov

West Bountiful City Park (550 W Pages Lane, West Bountiful, UT 84087). Family and friends are invited to gather, share their stories, and honor the memory of a man who lived with a cowboy's heart and an unwavering love for the wild.
