HARTSVILLE " Funeral services for Mamie Segars Curry, 56, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at Kelleytown Baptist Church. The Revs. Gary Anderson and Judson Segars will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, May 2, following the service in the Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or Vail Valley Charitable Fund, Box 3861, Eagle, CO 81631.
Mrs. Curry died Thursday, April 28. Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of Mamie Lawton Segars and the late Gosnold Graham Segars. She was a graduate of Anderson Junior College and Massey Institute of Design in Atlanta and spent 35 years in the interior design business. She was a member of Vail Bible Church.
Surviving are her husband, James Curry of Edwards, Colo.; son, Jay Curry of Eagle-Vail, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and John Ricca of Eagle-Vail, Colo.; mother of Hartsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Goz and Pat Segars, Bill and Debbie Segars, all of Hartsville; grandchildren, Cordry Ricca, Claire Ricca, Marilyn Ricca. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Madeline Ricca.
