Mandie Webb Horn TRAVELERS REST, S.C. Mandie Webb Horn, age 93, formerly of Paintlick, Va., passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010. Born July 12, 1917, at Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Green and Lillie Cordle Webb. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church at Travelers Rest. Mandie was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Horn; three sons, Tivious Horn, Zebedee Horn and Coy Horn; five brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by five daughters, Helen Steele and husband Fred of Paintlick, Shirley Steele of Travelers Rest, Oma Caudill and husband Joe of Chilhowie, Va., Lorraine Parham of Greenville, S.C., and Donna Kay Gilmer and husband Bruce of Travelers Rest; three sons, Carlous Horn and wife Carol, Jimmy Horn and Norris Horn, all of Travelers Rest; very special sister-in-law, Jennie Stilwell; very special daughter-in-law, Claudine Horn; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va., with Rev. Ralph Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff.
