Manharlal Vyas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 20, 2025.
With profound sorrow and reverence, we announce the passing of Manharlal Vyas, who peacefully left this world at the age of 88. A man of great wisdom, kindness, and inner peace, Manharlal lived a life filled with joy, simplicity, and devotion to the things that truly mattered-his family, his spiritual practice, and his connection with nature.

Born in 1937, Manharlal was a seeker of peace and fulfillment. He often said, "Jivan ma anand bha mal gaiyu," encapsulating his lifelong belief that true happiness is found in embracing the blessings of life, both big and small. His deep commitment to yoga, meditation, and a life of mindfulness brought him tranquility and balance, and he inspired many with his unwavering calm and spiritual insight.

Manharlal's love for nature was equally profound. Whether surrounded by the lush landscapes of Gujarat or the serene parks of Pleasanton, he always found solace in the natural world. It was in these moments, immersed in the beauty of the earth, that he felt most connected to the divine.

Above all, Manharlal cherished his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather, finding immense joy in watching his grandchildren grow into adulthood. His love and guidance shaped their lives in ways that will last for generations. He was particularly fond of sharing meals with his loved ones and found great pleasure in the simple joy of eating a dosa, whether in Ahmedabad or Pleasanton, savoring both the taste and the company of family.

To honor his life and the peaceful spirit he embodied, we invite all who knew him to recite the Gayatri Mantra in his memory. The mantra can be chanted in honor of his soul's journey until January 28th, as a way to send our prayers of peace and light.

Manharlal's life was a living testament to the power of joy, gratitude, and mindful living. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Om Shanti Om.
