GRANDMA THROUGH ALL THESE YEARS YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BLESSING, SHOWING US ALL, WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG. ALTHOUGH WE MAY HAVE NOT ALWAYS UNDERSTOOD WHY, BUT WITH AGE I HAVE GROWN TO REALIZE WHAT YOU MEANT. YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT GRANDMA NOT PICKING SIDES OR JUDGE US FOR OUR FAULTS. YOU ARE THE KNOT THAT HAS HELD US ALL TOGETHER. SEEING YOUR SMILE EVERY MORNING LIT UP MY DAY, OR HEARING YOUR LAUGH ALWAYS MADE US SMILE, FOREVER SAYING HOW PRETTY I AM, HOW SMART I AM AND HOW MUCH I'M LIKE YOU. WHENEVER I'VE BEEN DOWN AND OUT YOU GAVE ME YOUR WISE WORDS AND STORIES TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER. AFTER HEARING YOUR STORIES AND HEARING ALL THE THINGS YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH, I KNEW I COULD TACKLE ANYTHING. YOU ARE THE STRONGEST WOMAN, AND I'M SO BLESSED THAT YOU HAVE PAST IT DOWN TO MY MOTHER. YOU HAVE RAISED HER RIGHT AND TAUGHT HER HOW TO BE A GREAT MOM, SHE WILL FIGHT FOR THOSE SHE LOVES JUST LIKE YOU AND CONTINUE TO CARE FOR THE ONES WHO HAVE HURT HER JUST LIKE YOU. BEING STRONG FOR OTHERS IS NOT ALWAYS EASY BUT YOU HAVE MADE IT LOOK THAT WAY. LOVE IS NOT JUST A WORD IT'S A FEELING N I'VE ALWAYS FELT LOVED BY YOU. GRANDMA YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HAS GIVEN ME THE FAITH I WILL LIVE WITH FOREVER, THE SIGN OF THE CROSS MEANT SO MUCH MORE WHEN YOU WOULD BLESS ME WITH IT BEFORE I LEFT OUT THE DOOR AND SHEN I ASKED FOR YOU TO PRAY FOR ME, IT WOULD ALL TURN OUT RIGHT. YOUR HANDS ARE BLESSED BY THE LORD N I FELT IT IN EVERY TOUCH. YOUR PRAYERS WERE MORE THAN WORDS, THEY CAME FROM THE HEART! I HAVE ENJOYED THESE YEARS YOU HAVE LIVED IN OUR HOME N WILL MISS SEEING YOUR FACE OR HEARING YOU CALL ME YOUR PRINCESS OR LISTENING TO ME SING WAS ALWAYS THE BEST THING, YOU ARE MY NUMBER ON FAN, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY NOT SING, I AM YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN. YOU ARE A GREAT GRANDMA N WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE YOU. MY SHINING STAR WHO CAN SHINE FROM ABOVE LOOKING DOWN ON ALL OF THE ONES YOU LOVE, YOUR WORK HERE IS OVER, SO GOD TOOK YOUR HAND AND TOOK YOU HOME, THE PLACE WE ALL WONDER ABOUT YOU SEE, SO SWEET, SO NICE, ALL THE FAMILY MEMBERS YOU GET TO SEE. I CAN SEE YOUR SMILE THROUGH THE CLOUDS, I WILL LOOK UP TO YOU EVERYDAY. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH N WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH. I WILL TAKE CARE OF MY MOM, DON'T WORRY SHE'LL BE OKAY, SHE HAS MY DAD TO BLESS HER EVERY DAY, I'M SO HAPPY YOUR LAST YEARS HAVE BEEN WITH US, BECAUSE OUR LOVE YOU CAN ALWAYS TRUST.

Mama ... It has been almost a year since you left us but not a day goes by that I don't think of you and realize how much I love you ... You were my best friend and my shoulder to lean on I have been lost without you .... I can only hope to be the women and mother you were .. I love and miss you ... Your daughter Paula

Mom I miss u so much I look at ur pic everyday and cry I wish I could pick up the phone and talk to u auntie paula did a good job taking care of u mom I know ur looking down on me and all the family plz mom I need u to look over my son marcus more then me and mom im going to be having a baby I know at this time it might not be a good time to have a baby but got is trying to see if I love my kids more and if im going to do things right I love u mom ill see u when its my time

Mama I keep feeling that a part of me is gone .... and every time I think of you I cry .... but a friend told me today that when I'm feeling you and want to cry to think that I'm feeling you because you are here and to be happy ... if that is the case then you are always with me. Paula and family,
My deepest condolences during this difficult time. I loved my Aunt Nellie and I will miss her dearly. She had a heart of gold just like my mom. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Grandma Denas, or at least that is how I knew you. You welcomed me and my husband to your family with open arms always having the kindest words for me, I appreciated all your love for us and I hope God blesses you and your family always and comforts them now in your absence because I know that you will be dearly missed by your family and all who knew you for you were such a kind woman. May you rest in the arms of Jesus.

I learned at an early age about divorce and inter-racial marriage. After our dad met Mama Nellie, we would go for visits and that's when we gained a whole new family. She treated us like her own kids. Kathy was her baby. She called us her blue eyed and green eyed Mexicans. She told me she was proud of me. I'll miss her a lot. Love you Sherry Garibay Hooper

Ms Nellie it was a pleasure to have know you for such a long time. Time goes by so fast and we tend to not take the time to check in with the people we have known for a long time just to see how their doing. We all must do this in the near Future from now on! You have been part of our Family forever, lots of good memories, may you rest in peace till we all meet again. Say Hello to my Family up there..

Grandma I will always remember your forgiving personality and your heart I am sorry I can't be there but you know you will always be in my heart you were always so kind hearted and stern you helped so many people and never asked for nothing in return just know I am doing my best and living my life

Although you would bless me before I'd leave from seeing you. The true blessing was having you in my life, being a great mother to my mom and great grandmother to my children. You will be missed. Love you

A wonderful lady full of p and vinagar, she was old school and loved her for that, on Ironsides I would catch her walking (she would catch me) and we would catch up on events with the families, she reminded me of my grandmother, told it like it was like it or not, my thoughts are with your family.

Mama Nellie I love you. You will always be in my heart. When I was little you gave me so many hugs and kisses and I really needed that, when I got older you gave me advice and when I needed a kick in the pants you gave me that too, but always in love. Lord keep her in your glory and love until I get there..we shall all be together. Love you until we meet again...

Every time I went to Modesto, I always stopped and seen you. I've known you for 33 years and you've always been the same kind-hearted person. You will always be remembered and never forgotten. We love you and miss you terribly.

I will miss you so much grandma there are so many memorys of you I have, I cant remember them at once but something or a certain smell will triger a memory like her oatmeal and mexican bread for breakfast that one memory most of our family knows :-) I learned how to be a strong woman and a good mother who no matter what stands behind her children I love you grandma thank you for not giving up on me and for loving me.
