Marc Gilpin

I remember first seeing Marc in Jaws 2 when I was just a small kid, and I was just taken with his performance as young Sean Brody. He had a screen presence that captivated me. I wanted to be his best friend and share the big adventure with him. I loved that movie and it was because of Marc. I wish in hindsight that I had written to Marc and told him the wonderful impact that his role in that movie had made on me. I am deeply saddened to learn of Marc's passing, and I can only wish that he now is in a far better place. Rest in peace Marc, you will forever be remembered. God bless you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Marc in my middle-school Home Economics class at J.L. Long in Dallas Texas. He had recently finished Jaws 2, but he was a down-to-earth super nice guy. He even helped me with our sewing assignment (with enthusiasm, because that's how he did just about everything). I made this collage of pictures for my notebook cover and looked at his smiling face a lot. MANY years later, I met him where he bartended. I didn't recognize him and teased him that he looked too young to serve alcohol (and he was like in his late thirties). I am so sorry to discover that he suffered from such a horrible form of cancer. I send my condolences to his family.

To the family, many, many friends, colleagues and fans of this wonderful actor and producer Marc Gilpin fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. Marc Gilpin was an actor who, as a child, played the son of Roy Scheider's (1932-2008) Police Chief Martin Brody in "Jaws 2." There is no greater pain there could be than losing someone you love, especially when it is unexpected. May Almighty God in Heaven comfort the Freeman family, friends and fan's broken hearts with endless love, strength, and peace as you cope with this loss in your lives. Heath will certainly be missed by Hollywood and the whole world. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

I'm very sorry to hear of the death of such a fine actor. May the family find peace and comfort from God during this very difficult time.
