Marcia Abramsohn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2025.
Marcia was an artist and a great lover of animals, antiques, and culture. She was a passionate tennis player, and loved singing and playing by all games, especially Boggle with her 6 grandchildren. Intelligent, funny and independent, Marcia was a proud 4 time Jeopardy! winner. She is fondly remembered by her children: Felissa, (John Dunn, Annalise, Benjamin, great grandson Hudson); Roy, (Betsy Abramsohn, Benjamin, Madeline); and Jennifer (Norbert Panek, Romy, Leah). She is survived by sister Sara-Jane Rosin (Vincent Sarno). The family will honor her memory in a small private gathering. If you'd like to donate in Marcia's name please consider the ASPCA:

We have been friends with Marcia since 1972, when I met Marcia at Frosty Hollow Tennis courts in Levittown. Our friendship continued on and off the tennis courts for five decades. Marcia was not only a good tennis player, she also was a very talented artist, and our home is filled with her paintings on canvas and marble.

She was a woman of many talents--excellent cook and baker, great Bridge and Boggle player, and was a four-time winner on Jeopardy!

I was always so proud of Marcia--so intelligent, so beautiful, yet so self-effacing. We are very sad to lose such a dear friend.

With our deepest sympathy, Phyllis and Art Geller

Many happy memories growing up across the street from the Abramsohn´s. Felissa , Roy and Jenny: you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Your mom was a phenomenal artist and friend to my folks and many in the neighborhood.
Love to all, Bruce Weintraub

Rest in peace Marcia. I´ve never known anyone who lived life to the fullest as you. You utilized every bit of your intelligence and talents of which we all benefited. If ever there was a life well lived, it was yours! I will remember you always, Sheila
