Marcia Gene Carter

Carter, Marcia Gene 6/12/1937 - 12/17/2015 Passed away in Taos, New Mexico on December 17, 2015. She was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Ken and Gene Carter who preceded her in death. She spent her childhood summers in Saugatuck, Michigan, an area she loved. Marcia graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in education. After graduation she accepted a teaching position in the San Francisco Bay area of California. She taught and lived in the Bay area for many years. Approximately 28 years ago she settled in the Taos, New Mexico area where she lived. Marcia is survived by her beloved dog, Sweetie, her sister, Linda "Buzzy" (Dennis) Maurer, her nephew, Brent (Jessica) Maurer, their sons, Colin and Cole, her niece Heather (Ron) Marienfeld, their children Max, Nick, and Ella, and several cousins.
