I light a candle for my sister who is free from all of her suffering. The traditional Latin Mass memorial service was wonderful, and I can only hope that it was all that she had hoped for as her last wish.
RIP my sister!

Marcia and I began our long friendship when we were both sophomores at The Immaculata High School in Chicago. Even though she lived in Cicero and I lived on the northwest side of Chicago, we spent much time together sharing family and friends. We even stood up to each others weddings. Over these many years, Marcia and I often walked different paths, but we always made sure that, at sometime, those paths would cross in order to keep our friendship strong. I always admired her intellect, humor and her deep rooted faith. Fortunately, through many tears, we were able to say our good-byes. Farewell, dear friend. Rest In Peace.

Though I did not know Marcia very well, I knew much about her through my, almost, 30 year friendship with her sister Mary. I'm sure the heavenly choirs voices will benefit from Marcia's being added to it. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary, and the rest of her family & friends.

My sister was a wonderful person with a heart of gold who was regularly misunderstood for her extremely caring nature. Few really knew the real suffering that she bore for most of her life, and fought the good fight all along. We had many good times together, even in between the stressful ones, but we always loved and cared for each other. I will miss her so much.

My sister Marcia passed away last Sunday after a long illness. She was smart, artistic, well traveled, quirky and a "real knockout" in her younger days. She was a faithful Catholic, loved Jesus, sang in the choir for many years, and loved to dance especially the polka. The world will be a much quieter place without her.
