Not sure what to say?

I just heard from my niece, Barbara Stein (who is working on our family tree) that Pete passed away the end of May. I don't know members of the immediate family though I did hear about you through his annual holiday message. I did know Lester and Barbara since I made many visits to Pittsburgh with my family (I was born in Pittsburgh but we moved to Scarsdale when I was five months old). My mother was Bertha Rauh Rosenfeld a first cousin of Lester's. I don't have any mailing addresses but want to let the family know how sad I feel at this loss.

We were saddened to hear about the passing of your loving father and
grandfather. Barbara and Pete had many noble values as exhibited by their commitment to family and in their professional and community endeavors. My husband Alan and I enjoyed our acquaintance
with them especially stimulating
conversations about grandchildren
and travel at several temple Board
holiday dinners.
We hope that your special memories of a couple that you were
blessed to have as parents and grandparents are comforting now and beyond.

Pete was a long time highly valued friend. We stayed in touch when he and Barbara moved to the west coast and usually had lunch when he came east. I will miss Pete alot and have prayed for him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Although I didn't know him personally, he was never too busy to say hi when you'd seem him walking around Homer Laughlin. God bless.
